Ancona is the capital and port city of Le Marche. It is a city, worth a city trip in itself. That this city is half an hour from our agriturismo is lucky, because a visit is also nice for one day. You can enjoy antique buildings, views of the sea and the port, walk, stroll, shop, go to the city beach and, of course, have lunch, coffee or an ice cream.
This port city is built against the slope of Monte Conero. During World War II, the city was the target of heavy bombing, but fortunately not all the historical buildings and sights were wiped out. Ancona is still skipped by many tourists, but has a huge amount to offer for those looking for culture, architecture or conviviality in the form of bars, restaurants or shops.
