Back to the Middle Ages with knights, swords, cannons and castles...
On that note, Offagna, about a 35-minute drive through the beautiful Marchian countryside, is a wonderful destination for an outing that (younger) children will certainly enjoy too! A real castle as you only see them in fairy tales and that in a village that has been proclaimed one of the most beautiful places in Italy.
Then, every year at the end of July, there is still a medieval festival that, strangely enough, is hardly known to tourists. Maybe we should keep it that way and only tell our guests about it.
